Product Designer
Product designers own the experience, not the pixels. They get to the real problem behind the screen, design the flow that solves it without friction, and see it cleanly into the product.
What you’ll do
- Research the real problem behind the request, then design the flow, states, and interactions that solve it.
- Own the visual craft and the design system: hierarchy, type, and spacing, so it reads at a glance.
- Prototype fast, get a working version into hands, then hand it cleanly into the codebase.
- Sit in Define; make the case for the design with rationale, not polish, and take the critique.
- Measure the outcome the design was for, not how it looks.
What we look for
- Product sense. Accountable for the outcome, not the polish; what is worth designing, and what to cut.
- User insight. Getting to the real problem behind the screen, not just the request.
- Interaction and UX. Flows, states, and usability; the thing works without friction.
- Visual craft. Hierarchy, type, spacing, and the design system; it reads at a glance.
- Prototyping and delivery. A working version into hands fast, then into the codebase cleanly.
The ladder
The same shape as engineering: one trunk to Lead, then a fork into depth (an IC design track) or people (design management), meeting at the top. Pick a level to see what it expects.
Trunk · the shared climb
Depth · IC track
People · management
Apex
Eight rings, one per level. Lead (5) is the floor.

How we hire
One short take-home, then one conversation. We move fast and tell you either way.
- Apply. Send a CV and links to things you have built, anything real.
- A short take-home. A small, real problem. Use any tools, including AI. We care how you think, not a perfect answer.
- One conversation. Forty-five to sixty minutes walking your solution together, pushing on it.
